Rachel M. Smith, 86 of Brownwood died at 2:50 a.m. Thursday in Brownwood Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born Mar 22, 1889 in Medina, she had lived in Brownwood for 68 yrs.
Married Thom J. Smith in 1904 in Bell Co. He preceded her in death.
Survivors: daughter Virginia Cox, Brownwood; sons-Jesse, Wlater and Buford all of Brownwood- O.J. of Odessa - sister Mrs Nathan Roberts of Saugus Ca - 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren
