He was born August 6,1822 in Buncombe,N.C. Died May 12,1903 in Burnet,Texas.Buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Burnet.Married in Cocke County,Tn. in 1847 to MARTHA ALICE BIBLE, daughter of GEORGE BIBLE & MARGARET ANN KEICHER.Stephen Jones was father to nine children all born in Burnet Texas: Robert F. Jones, Joseph, Mary Ann,George Newt,Margaret Ellen,Missouri Jane,Hanna Florence, & Martha Alice(my gggrandmother).
