I am looking for anyone related to Sam Moreland who was bn in Jackson Co.,TN and died in 1871 in Burnet Co.,TX. He was married to Mary Pendleton Hughes in Jackson Co.,TN.
Would like to know if his parents were John MORELAND bn in Surry Co.,NC abt 1776-78 and died in 1838 in Jackson Co.,TN. He was married to Eve SPOON in Surry Co.,NC, d/o Adam SPOON and wife Mary.
I have two Surry Co.,NC Moreland men named John bn to my 3rd and 4th great great granparents but no spouses found for these two John MORELANDs.
Have been researching these MORELAND families for 30 years and trying to find the Adam Spoon connection. Have seen him mentioned as a neigbor there and in other documents see Adam Spoon's name.
I was told that Sam Moreland was the son of this John Moreland in Jackson Co.,TN and that he moved to Burnet Co.,TX.
Any help much appreciated!
