Oscar Van Hall and his wife Ola Derrett Hall, were in aldwell county in 1903 when their son Leo was born. I don't know where in Caldwell County they lived as Oscar was a farmer. The family apparently didn't stay in one locality very long as their children were born in Hays, Lamasas counties and Oklahoma. Oscar was also a gambler according to family lore.
Any information about the Halls will be greatly appreciated. I sometime think that all of them were once fuzzy little bugs that lived in a cabbage patch and then metaphorsized into humans, or maybe they lived in that colony on Mars and occasionly came to earth just to mystify us earthlings.
