Tammy, I descend out of George Washington S. Wright and wife Isophena Meiars/Meyers (varied spellings). She is the daughter of Nancy Clower and Jared Miers. George Washington S. Wright's brother James L. Wright married Isophena's sister Matilda Ann. To confuse matters even more, Nancy Clower Miears/Meyers married Elijah (Asa) Wright after his wife Elizabeth (Betsy) Taylor died. Asa is the father of George Washington S. and James L. Wright.
Now, to your question. I have part of the research done by Allene Halliburton Elliott on this WRIGHT family. The pages I need (and can't seem to get now) are the pages of the children of George and Isophena. They may very well have had a son that could be your ancestor. I looked through what I do have and there are several J.V.'s, but none married to an Annie Stidham so your J.V. very well may be a brother to my Elizabeth Della Wright. She was married by 1880 Guadalupe Census to Marion Washington Dennis so she would not be in the household of George.
Would you email me at Revisn@hotmail.com. I am in contact with several researchers of the Miers family. They may can shed more light on the George Miers you mention also. I know very little on the Miers (actually just starting on them).
