The Baird Star March 29, 1963 Ed Frazier is Called by Death George (Ed) Frazier, 79, well known resident of Baird, died Thursday at 4:30 p. m. at his residence. He was the first male child born in Baird and had lived here all his life. Funeral was held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Eugene Surface, Pesbyterian pastor from Eastland, officiated. Burial was at Ross Cemetery. He is survived by three nephews, W. A. Hunt of Baird, J. D. Hunt of Dallas, Frank Frazier, of the U. S. Marines; two nieces, Rubye Mae Keogh of Midland, Maurice Reynolds, Hobbs, N. M., and Nell Wilson of Longview; one cousin, George E. Frazier of Baird. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Baird. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ira Frazier, and was born in the commissary used when the Texas and Pacific rail line was being built where Baird is today. He was also the first Model T Mechanic in the Baird area. He had been retired for several years. Notify Administrator about this message?
