Reed and Houston families, 1890's forward

My maternal grandparents, J.M. Reed and Viola Houston Reed, arrived from Tennessee in the 1890s. J.M. Reed was the jailer and they lived in the Baird jail and my Grandmother cooked for the inmates. My mother Nora was born in 1898 in the jail followed by my uncles Shirley, Milton and Marlin. They later moved to Haskell and Crosbyton. My grandfather had a sister, Effie, who moved to Ralls. Apparently the Houstons came at the same time. Betah H Freeland, County Judge of Callahan County(1930-40)Was also a descendant of the Houstons. This is about all I know and would like to know more. I would appreciate any inputs. James R Bridges
