Thank you very much for your response. After I posted the message I discovered the online Texas Death Certificates, 1890-1976. By searching all Berrys in Cameron County I was able to learn that his first wife was Lucille Thornton Berry who is buried in Beuna Vista Cemetery. Ben was listed as the informant. I feel satisfied to have learned this much about my mother's first cousin, once removed, who had written to her in 1915.
I live in Oklahoma and have seen your name helping other researchers, and I always enjoy reading your posts to see what you have found. Thank you very much for your work.
