Have been doing some addition and subtraction with years, etc. Have heard from Nathan Carpenter, the grandson of Robert and Mary Louise Carpenter, greatgrandson of Ezra and Tabitha. What a thrill! I find a 21 yr. old school teacher, Rebecca Cope, "boarding" with Robert and Mary Louise in 1880 census. Robert had a brother, Augustus (not Augusta), both sons of Ezra Carpenter.
