My grandmother's brothers were adopted after their father(Allen London who was married to Anna York) died in 1912.
One brother named Onnie London was Adopted by John B. Martin
and his wife Mattie Martin some time between 1912 and 1919,
Lonnie shows up in their household in the 1920 camp county census. The other brother named Lonnie London was adopted
by Will L. Martin and his wife Pearl Martin. Both adoptions
probably occured in 1912 and in Camp County. The other Children who may have been adopted were: Henry C. London, who would have been 15 in 1912, Irine who would have been
5 in 1912, My grandmother Dorthy London was never adopted but went to live with George Harrison and Anna Bass, I do not know if this was the same year as she went to the orphanage in 1912 or not. Is there anyway to lookup these
adoptions of Onnie and Lonnie London and search for these other children being adopted, probably in 1912. Has anyone
tried to search for adopted children records. All of the
Children of Allen and Anna London have died except for My
grandmother Dorthy London Holden, and she would not know
anything about it, because she would have been 4 years old at the time. Any information in this area is appreciated.
