Sorry, no obit for Alton, don't know why.
Mrs Skipper dies after short illness....Mrs Alton Skipper, a resident of Pittsburg, for more than 40 years died Wednesda morning, July 10 at 8:00am, in M & S Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Upshur County the former Bula Mae Smith. In 1918 she married A H Skipper a member of teh first Baptist Church and Eastern Star. Funeral services were at the First Baptist Churich at 2:00PM, with Rev W C Beasley officiating. Survivors are her husband, one son Sigabee Skipper, Los Angeles, a grandaugher, 2 great granddaughters, four brothers, S J Smith, Rogers Ark, Sy Smith Kilgore, TX, Fred Smith La Maaaaaaarquis, Wm N Smith, Gladewater, six sisters MRs G D Spaan and Mrs Scape Gunn Gladewater, Mrs E X Birdsong and MRs Louis Vester Longview, Mrs A O Jackson Gilmer, and Mrs Gilforth Kilgore. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery, Pall bearers were George Scudder, Jr, Thomas Reardon, Murry Maddox, Dick White, Buck Bradshaw, and Kenneth Smith.
