Is there anyone in your area who has access to History of Cass County People? I have just found my great great grandfather, William B. Brooks, born in 1808 in Georgia. A couple of people on Ancestry have used this reference to source the family's move to Texas after 1850. I have found them on the 1850 Macon County, GA census for 1850. My ancestor , William J. Brooks, was already 18 in 1850 and stayed in GA, possibly with his grandfather. He married in Troup County, GA in 1854.
If anyone can scan or copy and mail the pages relevant to this family, I would be very grateful. Apparently this family is included on pages 210 and 211 as family # 856.
This family includes the following children:
Mary Ann Missouri, M.E.' William Jasper, Lucy Elizabeth, Louisa C., Lucinda, George W., John C., Ellis Isaiah" Pike", Walton R., and Charleston Welbourne.
