In Sept. 1906 Esau Bell Sr, an African-American killed his wife Mary Sparks Bell. He turned himself in ---what happened to him ? Was he sent to prison ? Was he put to death ? They had 4 children. In 1910 the 2 older boys were living with a Wm & Clara Smith, who I believe were their aunt & Uncle--Clara being Esau's sister. THe younger two, a boy & a girl were with Mary's parents Frank Sparks. All in Cass Co.
Any information or leads on any of this family would be greatly appreciated, especially Esau Sr.
