I'm researching the family of Henry (b abt 1823) & Sarah (b 6 Dec 1821) SOMERS / SUMMERS. They moved to Chambers Co. TX about 1850 with their son, George (b abt 1848 MS) and had at least 5 more children.
Angeline (b 1855),
Henry B. (poss. Breckenridge?)(b 1857)
Benjamin Franklin (b 1860)
William Thomas Jefferson (b 1862) my great-grandfather
Joseph Americus (b after 1862)
Henry died in Anahuac, Chambers Co. Texas 1870
Sarah died in Anahuac, Chambers Co Texas 1871
I believe that George served in Civil War, and spelled his name as "SUMMERS", and lived in Hunt Co. Texas, but have found no mention of any of the other children, except Angeline, who married Robert HACKWORTH, and died childless in Brenham Texas.
Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
