I am looking for the J P precinct for listing in census for my grandparents, Levi Dudley Jones and wife Stella Thompson Jones. I know they owned or rented (think owned) a farm in Childress county from about 1905 until shortly after Nov 10, 1916. My grandfather was a farmer, they had cattle, and processed milk for a dairy. He also made saddles.
The children in the family during the period they lived in Childress, Childress, TX were:
Mattie Florence Jones
Leonard Dee Jones
Willis Jones (stillborn or died shortly after birth)
Carroll Madison Jones
Wilbur Dennis Jones
Raymond Jones (stillborn or died shortly after birth)
Ethel Evelyn Jones
William Wayne Jones (my father b 11-10-1916)
The first 2 children were born in OK.
The last 6 children were born in Childress, Childress Co, TX. All of them on the farm.
The family was Methodist.
I have not been able to locate them on the 1910 census for Childress County ... That is the reason I am requesting help.
