I am not related but located the 1910, 1920, 1930 census on John Henry and Johnie Hawks and WW1 Draft registration.
1930 census on Jesse and Bessie. I noticed on the Texas online death certificates that John Henry parents were John Norton Hawks and Nora Bell Runnels as you wrote but on their son James Walter 1935 death certificate which Nora Bell was the informant she listed her maiden name as Reynolds.
