It has been proven by court records (1941, June 10; Greene Co., TN Chancery Court. S. W. Lynch et al vs. Oscar Burgner et al.) that John F. Harmon 1815-1896 with his 2nd wife Mary E. (Hays) Williams were the Harmons that were referred to in the following notice.

Masonic Lodge records from Mosheim, Greene Co., TN: John Harmon paid dues from 11-2-1877 from PA paid 85 cents dues; dues $2 year until 11-21-1885.

pd $2.00 in 11-6-1881
pd $12.00 in 11-21-1885
Held rank of Senior Deacon.

Bro. John Harmon called for a demitt as he was going to the state of Texas. This was granted as all had been satisfied both books & members. Much respect goes from our lodge with our much loved Bro. John Harmon.
A demitt was ordered to be filled and presented to Bro. John Harmon.

It is known this John F. Harmon and his wife Mary had two daughters, Mattie and Lillie born in TX. Mattie married D. Jay Brooks and she died 1913 in Kiowa Co., KS. Lillie married Herman P. Bible in 1904 and had 5 children, she married 2nd to Clarence Lewis Hicks and MAY have married Henry Lowen in KS. I would like to contact any descendents.
