I am looking for information on Robert Henry Goodnight and his wife Mary Helen's daughter Pearl(She should be their adopted daughter). This Pearl did not appear on the 1920 collingsworth,TX census under Robert Henry Goodnight. She does appear on the 1930 Collingsworth,TX census under R.H.Goodnight as his 15 year old daughter, also his wife Mary Helen appear on both census. The only daughter they had was born in 1919 and died the same year. This Pearl could be my grandmother's(Dorthy London Holden) Half-Sister. Dorthy's mother is Rosanna York London and her father is Allen London. Allen London and Rosanna York's Children are: Henry C. London,Emma M. London(not many family members knew about Emma),Onnie Warner London and his twin brother Lonnie Carter London,Irene London,Dorthy London, and Possibly another Half-Sister of theirs and this would be Pearl's sister named Lora(This is not a sure thing yet). My grandmother Dorthy London Holden said Pearl was adopted by a minister and His wife and they moved away, and she said Pearl was a half-sister. I have found that Robert Henry Goodnight was a circuit minister, he may have adopted Pearl in camp county, That is the county where all of Allen London's children lived after he died, People in that county adopted his children. When Allen London was alive they lived in Hopkins county. Robert Henry Goodnight's Pearl was born in 1914 or 1915, he does not list her on the 1920 Collingworth,TX census with his wife, and this would be about the time that Rosanna York remarried and the time of Pearl's birth. Nothing is difinate on this yet, If you know of this Pearl or This Goodnight family, please send me a e-mail, my address is: mjackson8465@sbcglobal.net . Thanks, Sincerely, Mark Jackson Notify Administrator about this message?
