Ms. Wooldridge,
I found your note asking for information about my grandmother, Vivian Wiles Starr. My name is Vivian Wiles Rich, and Vivian Wiles Starr was my grandmother. My father was William Dixon Wiles, Jr., Ms. Starr's son.
I don't know if you were able to find an article in one of the newspapers in Collingsworth Co about my grandmother's life or her obituitary, but I have nothing like that. My grandmother died when my father was 17. My mother met my father when he was in his early 20's, so my mother never knew my grandmother. However, I was their first child, and my parents named me for her.
My parents divorced when we were young, and my father died in his mid-late 30s and is also buried in Wellington. You probably know that.
Anyway, I wanted to thank you for posting your inquiry. At a time when I was trying to find out information about my grandmother, your note gave me information that I did not have.
I'm glad to know my grandmother's maiden name was Bridge as well as learning her birth and death dates. I do know that she died of ovarian cancer. I wish I had the information you were requesting on 2-4-06, but I don't.
