Searching for any information on Newt Rains. Who were his parents? He married Minnie Mae Floyd (b.October 18, 1888).They married before 1908 and I think they married in Comanche County, Texas. Newt Rains died around 1917. Could he be buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Gustine, Comanche County? Would appreciate any help. Minnie Rains migrated to Scurry County with her family. Later married Thomas Allen Ellison and move to Aspermont, Stonewall County, Tx. After his death she returned to Scurry County and died there.
Newt and Minnie Rains had the following children:
Floyd Rains b. Mar 13, 1908 (alias Thomas Hunt)
d. May 27, 1988 in Scurry County, Tx
Gus Milton "Bud" Rains b. Dec 9, 1909
died. Aug 14, 1978 in Scurry County, Tx
Dod Rains
b. April 12, 1912
d. Dec 21, 1992 and buried in Hillside Memorial Garden's Cemetery in Snyder, Texas.
Dale Rains
Billie Rains (female)
b. Sept 8, 1917
d. Jan 14, 1934 in Scurry County, Texas
Minnie (Rains)Ellison died in Scurry County on Dec. 20, 1966 and is buried in Snyder Cemetery.
