Holmans Dtr,b.1884/85,Eden couple took to raise

In 1884/85, Stephen and Clara Holmans of Eden had a daughter, also named Clara. About 2 weeks later the mother died. Since Stephen was driving a stagecoach at the time and could not care for the infant, he gave her to a young couple in Eden to raise. Family members have no idea what happened to this child.

Any clues?
