Francisco Puig was one of three Puig Brothers who lived in Duval County in 1880.
( Valentine, Juan and Francisco ) They were born in Spain. They came to Louisiana where they had relatives in the general merchandise business. During the Civil War , they served in a Confederate Militia. After the war , they came to Texas. Valentine settled in Webb , County and Juan in Nueces , County. ( Descendants of Valentine were Valentin PUIG and Baldomero Puig.)
