I am doing some research on Texas Lawmen killed in the line of duty. I know Deputy City Marshall Edgar Levi “Ed” Etter was killed on 1 August 1936 in Freer, Duval County. I believe a Mr. Grafft shot him during an disagreement. Any information about his death, or newspaper articles regarding the incident, would be greatly appreciated.
