First I am not related - nor do I live in Eastland Co - I live in neighboring Taylor Co
What I could find out - which might help some -
I could not locate in Texas Birth Index under Christmas
From the 1930 census you stated there was listed two sons - that was a mistake according to her obit -

Minnie Christmas
Ranger- Minnie Adline Christmas, 85, formerly of Ranger, died Tuesday morning in an Odessa nursing home.
Services are pending with Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger.
She lived most of her life in Ranger.
She is survived by a son Garland Christmas in Garland; a daughter Charlene Smith of Odessa; a brother L.F. Lemley of Ranger; a step-sister Mrs. Yuba Blackwell of Odessa; four grandchildren and five great-grand-children.
Obviously she was near her daughter in the nursing home when she died.
Her brother Lanham died 28 Aug 1987 in Eastland Co - but coud not locate an obit for him in the Abilene paper.
Have you contacted the County Clerk in Eastland about a marriage? You don't need exact dates - and they are really good about helping.
