I have printed the info out and all may tie in somehow.
I have just found out that the reason I was having a problem finding C.G. Dawson was he went by the name "BUD" and even on his WWI Army recruitment paper, he has just used Bud Dawson..and even signed it that way at bottom of paper. No wonder I couldn't find him!
Another person has sent info that Colonel Grady Dawson was known as "Bud" and he was married to Dora Ann Helms and given me lots of help on the Helms side.
I am so pleased to now have the GG-grandfather and GG-grandmother's name. And I could not have done it without the help of the wonferful folks like you and others on the internet who give freely of their time, even when not connected.
I still have some mysteries to figure out, but don't we all as far as family history.
