For some years I have been researching the Casner family of John L. Casner (b.1822 MO) and his son, John Lewis/Luke/Lew/Lou Casner (b.1851 IA), and at this point would like to make contact with descendants of the line. The son, John Lewis Casner had ten children. Several settled in NM, AZ and several settled in TX in/around El Paso. Descendants remain to this day in/around El Paso. My sole endeavor in trying to make contact with descendants is to see if anyone has any kind of clue as to what became of hte elder John Casner and his son John Lewis Casner. The last record I have found of them is dated 6-22-1902 in Haskell County, TX where they were at the courthouse and signed papers selling off the last of their land. I have to believe there is a descendant out there some where (possibly of the older children of John Lewis) who have heard stories of the two John Casners. It has been nearly impossible to obtain addresses on Casners in El Paso as there is another distinctly different Casner family that also settled in the area (unfortunately the names are very similar). I will gladly exchange informaiton with descendants of my line. Notify Administrator about this message?
