Looking for information on John Simpson. He was murdered August of 1869. I know he was shot by his step daughter Minerva Jane Ely boyfriend. I was looking for the name of the boyfriend and what happened to him. John Simpson was married to Mary Garrett Ely. Mary Garrett Ely had several children. Mary and John had two children Amanda Simpson and Samuel Simpson. After thier parents death they were raised by William and Emiline Ramsey. Any information would be appreciated
