Hello. My mother saw your post concerning Robert B. McAlpine, Jr. and wanted me to contact you. My grandmother and Robert's mother (Ethel) were 1st cousins. Robert was born April 25, 1922 in Erath County, Texas. He was married to Stella Stephens (date unknown). They had a son, James Bruce. Aftr Robert was killed, Stella remarried to a Mr. Bradshaw and changed James Bruce's name to Bradshaw from McAlpine. To date, I have not been able to contact James Bruce. Robert Bruce Jr. was the oldest of 3 children. Maxine born in 1925 and died in 1930 of spinal meningitis. Bennie Dean was born 8/17/1930 and died in 1994. Bennie Dean and Maxine are both buried beside their parents in the Hightower Cemetery just north of Morgan Mill, Erath County, Texas. We would love a copy of the record you have and a photo of his grave if you have one. Please feel free to contact us directly if you want any more info.
