The future Families of Adam A LACKEY, William B CAMPBELL, David DAMERON were from Dekalb County Al, Northern Al., and before then SC and NC. The time frame mid 1800s into Fannin and Lamar County Texas. George BRIDGES family about 1886. Since these are my kin I was wondering what the big draw was to Fannin County? I grew up in Lamar County Texas. The reason we always hear was cheap land, perhaps?
