Yes I am here! My husbands grandfather was John Melton Milam. Was told he had a brother, Thomas Henry Milam and a sister, Ida.
Havne't been able to confirm any of this. John is buried in Hugo, Ok, along with many more Milams.
They were said to have come over into Oklahoma from Texas, around Paris and surrounding towns.
My husband says his Dad said...their branch of the family came from James Valentin Milam, a brother of Old Ben Milam.
