Hi Kay,

Thank you so much for replying. I'm so excited to find you guys. I just start really doing genealogy research this past spring, and this family has been a brick wall for me. There is no one left on my end who remembers anything before WWII.

Thomas Henry was my g-g-grandfather, his son Lee Roy was my g-grandfather, and Lee Roy's son Thomas was my grandfather. I haven't been able to definitely find them before 1900, but lots of clues have them coming to Texas between 1880-1890. I don't know where from, but I think Thomas Henry was born in Tennessee.

You have given me some great clues to work with--with John's middle name, and Ida being a sister. I know I've seen her on the census records.

Have you guys also seen the "warrant" for John's arrest (it also states that Thomas Henry was in custody.)? I found it on the Milam family website--it's still there-or I can email you a copy. I don't know what they may have done, but I was so excited to find it. They probably weren't so excited about it at the time ;)

I can also send you a link to my Ancestry site if you want to see what little info I do have on them and the pictures I have. I don't have any old ones, just of my grandfather Thomas and his family.

I can't tell you how grateful I am for the clues. If I can't find them in Tennessee, I'll try to work from Ben Milam's brother's line down.

Thanks again,

Erin Milam Moore
