The Windle Family Reuniion will be held Saturday May 16th, 2009, at Davis Cemetery just south of Henderson TX in Rusk Co.
During this reunion The Descendants of the Mexican War Veterans will set John William Windle's headstone in Davis Cemetery.
John William Windle left Henderson, TX and settled on some of his father's, John A. Windle's land grant land in the late 1850s in what is now Lamasco Texas. John William married Lucinda Willis and had four childern by her:
James Windle (passed August 10th, 1870)
Robert Dennis Windle (married Tabitha Havens both passed in 1888)
John Pressley Windle
Nancy Elizabeth Windle (married Luther Jameson)
John Pressley married Harriet Havens and had six children by her:
David Parker
Viola Mae
Effie Lola (passed in 1914)
Cora
Carrie (passed sometime before 1881)
Mamie
When Harriet passed he married Virginia Caroline Son Harris Havens and had six children with her:
Angelina Lucinda
Pressley Owen
John (Passed at birth)
William McKinley
Bessie
Emma Brown
John Pressley had two step sons through his marriage to Virgina
Wesley Havens (father was John Havens)
James Harris (father was John Harris)
