Charles Walter Parnell m: Mattie T. Brown 1883

Looking for any information on Charles Walter Parnell (Sr.) and Mattie T. Brown who lived in Richmond, Ft. Bend Co, TX. He was a District Clerk and also ran for Sheriff in Richmond. They are buried in the Morton Cemetery in Richmond. They had 2 children:
1) Burtie Smith B: 1885 who married Lee Smith. She died 05 Jan 1945 in Richmond and is buried in the Morton Cemetery.
2) Charles Walter Parnell, Jr. born 1887. My understanding is that he never married. He died in Harris County, TX 16 Dec 1940 and is buried in Morton Cemetery also. I would especially like to learn more about the Parnell's.
