I am tracking a Kellar and Jones family that has taken me all the way from Virginia to Texas by way of Illinois and Missouri.
Alice Maria Jones born Aug. 1853 in Jennings Co., IN moved with her parents Jonathan Curran Jones and Delila Kellar to Opdyke, Jefferson Co., ILL after 1860. Alice married in Jefferson Co., Ill to Joshua P. Allen on Sept. 17, 1871. Joshua was born March 1849 in Illinois son of Samuel and Julia Allen. Joshua and Alice was the parents of 9 children with 7 living in 1900. They can be found on the Fort Bend, Justine Pre. # 1 in 1900. Two children were buried in Opdyke, Illinois: Marcus J. Allen born Sept 27, 1877-June 17, 1879
Van Allen born Feb. 2, 1882- Sept.26, 1882.
The following six children are listed on the 1900 census
Delila, John P., Adelia B., Jones E., Eva E., Nettie.
All the children are listed as being born in Illinois except Nettie who was born in Missouri on February 1888.
Any help with this family would be greatly appreciated.
