Seeking information on O. A. McGinnis (birthdate and location unknown) who was in Ft. Bend Co., TX (near LaGrange) in 1853, possibly earlier.
Also seek info on Edward McGinnis (maybe the same man as above). He was also in the same south Texas area as O. A. McGinnis.
Who is John McGinnis b 1798 VA who married Anna b 1814 LA? They are in Angelina Co., TX on the 1850 census with a house full of children, including John, Raford, Martha, Elizabeth, Evaline and Harriett. This family was in Texas as early as 1834 as indicated by the children's birthdates.
This family may be connected to the Cherry family. Both McGinnis and Cherry families appear on the 1870 Angelina Co., TX census.
