Carolyn, I haven't written to this lady since 1999,as she is
retired and living on a ranch,her address should be the same. Her name is Frances Rech-HC3, Box 30A-Johnson City,
Texas 78636-9775. I believe she is a g-granddaughter of
Dougal McMickle. I traced her through Dougals widow, Ellen
Elizabeth Riddle Marley McMickle by way of a Confederate
Pension and a newspaper. He didn't receive a pension, but she did. Ellen Elizabeth was the step-mother of my g-grandfather, having become so before he was two. I have been trying to trace his biological parents and haven't had any luck. Ellen and Dougal married in 1880 in either Frio or Medina County Texas. Good luck and happy hunting. June
