Kerr families in mid- to late-1800s

I have come across several Kerrs in looking at the Frio County census and land records for the late 1800s. My branch, William Augustus Kerr m Ida Foster, settled in LaSalle County, after spending a generation in Washington County. My line goes back to Hugh Kerr (Jr) married Lucy Thomson (sister of Alexander, an empressario with Robertson), who lived in South Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Montreal, then Giles County, TN, before moving to Texas in 1830, founding Kerr Settlement in Washington County, just north of Burton (later known as Union Hill). I am descended through a son, Augustus Thomson, and his son Monroe Pierce, to "Willie Gus" of LaSalle County. Monroe moved to LaSalle in 1882 with all his children, and most moved on with him in 1891-2 to Carlsbad, NM. Willie Gus and a sister or two stayed. There were several other Kerrs from the family in south Texas by this time, and several Kerrs are found in Frio County records. I am hoping to find a descendent, or someone who knows the family history - we may be kin. Thanks, Ted
