After going over more of my records I do not believe Bill Hawver was kin to the Gough's from Kentucky. I believe he was just doing some research for someone that he thought might be related to us. My first relative in America was William Gough who was born in England in 1605 and died in MARYLAND in 1679. Charles Gough (Fifth Generation of Gough's (Revolutionary War Veteran) came to Kentucky and paid tax bills in 1792 the year Kentucky became a state. Charles died in 1826 and Mary (his wife) died sometimes after 1830.Two of Charles' sons Isidore (nickname, Dorah)and Joseph, and their families moved to Union County Ky, and settled near Uniontown, Ky, about 1827. There are none of Joseph's family living in that area now. There are several of Isidore's family living there.
I thought that maybe some of Joseph's family were living in Texas and that Bill Hawver was looking for them and was the reason he posted a message on the Union County forum.
