During the time that Bill Hawver and I were trying to straighten out our relations to the Goughs I sent him all the information about the Gough's all the way back to William Gough who came to St Mary's County in 1664. I had received a Gough History that was published by a relative in 1860. Bill agreed with everything I sent him about all my relatives. I then started a research for my English relatives. I spent five years on this research and finally found what I believed to be my English Connection. Bill had told me that if I ever wanted to publish a book he had the experience to help me get it published. I sent him this information and he did not believe my research was correct.
A lot of the information for my book was taken from the Gough History. This history showed that there were two branches of William mGough's family. One branch of this family were Loyalist, and this is the side that the Gough history did not cover. In fact very little did I know about them until after I published a book myself. You can see how I discovered this family by reading message Nr 15423 on the Maryland Genealogy Form. Thanks for your help
