I had old family records which did not show any daughters born to William Davis and Martha Pryor Allison. A check of the 1840 Limestone Cty, AL census shows that there were indeed two daughters (age 5 or younger).
Info from a Pryor family member turned up one Mary Allison (age 16) with Emily Pryor and Andrew McWilliams in Fulton, MS in 1850. Info on John Pryor Allison shows him going to Fulton, MS with Martha's brother John Benjamin Pryor. John Pryor was living in Fulton, MS in 1861 when he signed up with the Confederate Army.
If there was any contact with John Pryor Allison and his sister Mary Allison after the war, I cannot yet find it. Since John Pryor and his family moved to Texas perhaps I can find her there.
If anyone out there knows the whereabouts of Mary Allison, I would be very grateful and happy to share the info I have on Dr. John Pryor Allison.
