Thank heavens for that middle name of Bick, then we know we have the right man. And, this will give you a time period for birth of Janette.

CA Dth Idx:

Carr, Albert Bick, b 19 May 1914, OK; d 3 Nov 1993, San Diego Co, CA; 79 yrs; mother's maiden name, Owen.

From SSDI his last residence was El Cajon, San Diego Co, CA.

You might try RAOGK (Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness) site -- http://www.raogk.org/faq-requesters.htm -- There are several volunteers listed for San Diego Co, CA. One specifically states she will do death and marriage record transcriptions. From death record you should be able to find the cemetery where Albert is buried, see if Mildred is buried there, too. That would give you date of her death and then you can look for her death record, too. Hopefully her death record will show her mother's maiden name, then you can compare with James Coburn and see if it matches his mother's maiden name, too.

It's too bad you don't have any dates, or approximate dates, for James. His name is pretty common.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
