Hello,

I am researching the family of Victoria A. Gil who moved to Tennessee from Texas. Here is what I have.

Santos Gil - father
Ise Y. Wootton - Mother

Santos Gil b. Mexico @1872
Ise Y. or Esa W. Wootton b. May 15, 1885 in Brownsville, TX in Cameron County.

Santos father and mother ?

Ise Y. (or Esa W.) Wootton
Father: Simon Wootton - b. Ireland or Oklahoma circa 1860's.
Mother: Maria Hernandez - b. Mexico circa 1860's to early 1870's.

1910 Census: Brewster County, TX:
Santos Gil Head of Household Age 38
Ise W. 25
Hortencia 5
Humberto 4
Maria 2
Esperanz H. 10/12

1920 Census: San Angelo, Tom Green County, TX
Ise Wootton Head of Household Age 35
Kumbers Wootton (Humberto?) 14
Maria Wootton 12
Victoria Wootton 5

1930 Census: San Angelo, Tom Green County, TX
Ise Wootton Head of Household Age 39
Victoria A. Gil 15
Raul Enriquez 9
Alfred Enriquez 9
Albert Lopez 27
Geronimo Rodriguez 19

I know that Ise Wootton divorced Santos Gil before 1920 and had twins with her husband who was a Mr. Enriquez. The twins were Hiram Raul and Alfred A. Enriquez who were born 2 Oct 1920.

Santos Gil may have moved to Webb County, Texas and married a woman named Guadalupe Montable who was born in Mexico. I have a death certificate for a Santos Gil, Jr. who was born January 19, 1923 and died January 20, 1923 (he lived 1 day) and his parents were Santos Gil and Guadalupe Montable.

This Santos Gil was born in Saltillo, Mexico.

I am actually looking for any information on anyone mentioned in this posting. I especially would like to find information on Simon Wootton who was in Brownsville, TX circa 1885 and was married to Maria Hernandez and had Ise Wootton.

I also would like anything on Santos Gil who lived in Webb County, TX in 1923 and his wife was Guadalupe Montable who was from Juarez, Mexico and he was from Saltillo, Mexico.

I appreciate amy responses to this inquiry and posting.

Sincerely,
Gary Beene
