I am pretty sure I found the information about who I'm looking for... The person who originally gave the information (my husband's natural mother) is hard of hearing. We found her a few years ago (my husband is adopted) and he was able to meet with her a few times. He wanted to know his paternity and medical history. His mother explained she had a relationship with his father and I was able to find out a bit more information.

The strongest *possibility* is Jessie (Mack) Sanford, of Houston, Texas, born Oct 3, 1928, died Sept 10, 1980. His wife's name is Avanell. One of Jessie's daughter appears to be Glenda. Brother is likely Garrel.

Many details seem to be a very close match, so it could be the same person, but without proof, I cannot verify. However, I hesitate whether I should research more (because this appears to be a situation of accidental birth resulting from an affair in 1964-1965), but it is important for my husband to at least find his medical/biological background.

The awkward point is whether the Sanford family is even aware of this (**if** it is the same Jessie). It is possible they may not want to do anything to verify the connection nor acknowledge whether such a relationship existed.

Probably the only way is DNA testing whether there is a definite biological relationship between my husband and the Sanford family.

Without knowing more, and with the death of this possible father, we have reached a dead-end (as we cannot ask him directly).

Are there other suggestions?

- Caralee
