Hi Joan. Thank you for your reply. I've read many of your replies to other people and you're so wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable about Texas Sites and history. Myra Elizabeth James (MILLER), my Great Grandmother, was indeed born in 1857. And thank you also for posting the link to the familysearch.org site. Thanks to familysearch I now know the name of Myra James's mother and during the past month or so it's allowed me to find a bunch more Texas cousins. So I'm sure it will greatly benefit other researchers. Hey folks, it also has vitals information for some other states, not just Texas. Last week in "Kentucky Colonization, a History of the Peters Colony" I found a Hogan JAMES granted land in 1844 in Grayson County, Texas. And Texas Land Title Abstracts lists Hogan JAMES, 320 acres, Fannin District, Grayson County, Patent Date 30 May 1859. But I've still not been able to find any additional ancestral type info about the JAMES, BROWN and BATY/BEATY families other than what I put in the previous post. And, other than those of Myra Elizabeth (JAMES) MILLER and Mary Louise (JAMES) MILLER, I know very little about their descendants. Yes, they married MILLER brothers. Merry Christmas everyone. And Happy Hunting. Joan, here's my little mysticat: ^..^ Marti, mudpuppy24@bellsouth.net Notify Administrator about this message?
