1860 census Monroe Co, TN, page 236:

Malone, Hugh, 32, b TN, - land 100/personal 200
" Polly, 35, b TN
" James, 7, b TN
" Elihus, 3, b TN
" Louisa A., 1, b TN

Page 252, maybe Hugh's family?

Malone, Zachriah, 57, b TN
" Pracilla, 565, b SC
" Tabitha, 25, b TN
" Rachel, 23, b TN
" Mary, 21, b TN
" Michael, 17, b TN

1850 census Monroe Co, TN:

Malone, Zachriah, 47, b TN
" Prissilla, 47, b TN
" Bethena, 19, b TN
" Betha, 17, b TN
" Rachel, 15, b TN
" Mary, 12, b TN
Malone, Hugh, 22, b TN
" Polly, 25, b TN
Coffman, William, 74, b VA
[Now, J.Phillip shows Prissilla is a Coffman, did Hugh marry a cousin?]

I checked Monroe Co, TN GenWeb site (GenWeb is also one of my favorite sites) http://usgenweb.org/ This takes you to the U.S. level, click on TN, then click Monroe Co. Use their search feature and type in Malone, lots of matches, but click on # 17. Scroll down and click on Zachriah Malone. In the lower right hand corner you can contact submitter. But, before you do that scroll on down and click on -- User Home Page Genealogy Report: Descendants of Zachariah Malone -- J. Phillips has posted information on Zachariah and you'll find Hugh is listed as son of Zachariah, and other data, too.

I suggest you email J. Phillips find out sources etc.

If you go to Rootsweb's WorldConnect -- http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi -- I just typed in Malone, spouse Coffman. You'll see submitters working on Hugh, then I notced a Louisa who also married a Coffman. (Hugh named a daughter Louisa, maybe for a sister?) I clicked on her husband William Coffman. Among children is a Margaret, who married Hugh Malone. I have a feeling Louisa's William is probably the son of the William Coffman 74 (b ca 1776) on the 1850 census. These lines may be twisted a bit, but look likes fun. LOL

Happy Hunting (^_^)
