Thanks Shelley, This is great. I found a J.J. Simpson in Leake county,Mississippi in Carthage post office family 167
J.J.Simpson age 34 born SC
wife Martha E. age 21 born GA
son Thomas A. age 10 born MS
son James M. age 8 born MS
son John L. age 6 born MS
dau Martha J. age 5 born MS
son William L. age 3 born MS
dau Mary E. age 1 born MS
Do you think this is the right family? Some one else had a William S. Simpson born 1852 in same county as the right family with a Hugh Simpson as the father.
