If you are looking for a male that was alive in 1930, a good place to search are the WWII draft registration cards. The 1940 census won't be available until 2012, 1950 census is due out in 2022, etc.

On April 27, 1942, Robert Lee Lemons registered in DeQueen, Sevier, AR. He said he was 52, born March 1, 1890 in Polk Co. AR. He was self-employed and the person that would always know his whereabout was Mrs. Stella Lemons, same address. Robert was 5'6" and weighed 200# with blue eyes and black/gray hair.

"Lemons" may be what the clerk heard and didn't confirm the spelling with the applicant.

Whether Robert died in Sevier Co. is unknown but you may want to contact the Sevier County Library's Genealogy Department,
http://www.sevierlibrary.org/NewGen/Homepage.htm/, and ask if they have a copy of his obit. It may mention his sister, niece or others who may have more information.

Robert, Stella and their 7 children are in the 1930 Horatio census.
