Dear Shelly, How unselfish of you to look this up when it is not your family line. I have all this information. I found out that the family’s name is really spelled: Boshears or possibly: Brashears and have done a lot of research on the Brashears name. Elbert G. Boshears was born in 1855 in Pike Co. Ark. His sister was Mary Rebecca Boshears-my great grandmother. Their mother was Nancy H. Billingsley-Boshears-Smith who was born in Tennessee in 1856. I got this information from the famous book on the Billingsley family-The Billingsley Family in America which is online on ancestors.com I wrote to Alvarado, Texas and got Elbert G. Boshears’s death certificate and yes, he was divorced-his sister came to his funeral but someone lifted the obituary from the papers they have there in the County of Johnson from which it was printed. That might of given me some more information. In this Billingsley book, it said that the father-John Boshears died before 1860. She remarries in 1862 in Johnson Co. Texas and I also got a copy of that from the library there. The Boshears I thought was the man she married in 1852 (I have a record as well form Lawrence Co. Tenn.) which is nearby to Moury co. Tenn. Is named: JohnC. Breckenridge Boshears. It turns out he married a Sabra Ann Glover in the 1880’s and had a mess of kids in Texas but a few counties away from Johnson County. He also married in his 40’s and I am just wondering if he married the Billingsley lady and took off cause in those days they just left and there was no divorce or I have the wrong John Boshears. The John B. Breckenridge Boshears I have was probably born in Mt. Pleasant, Maury Co. Tennessee. Do you know how I would figure the right John Boshears who married my great great grandmother, Nancy H. Billingsley Boshears Smith? There is a guy named Charles Brashears and I emailed and phoned him but he ignores my contact and I don’t know why. I do not know him and write sweetly in my correspondence. Do you know who could help? Like I say, I have documentation of their marriage, her brother’s death certificate, and oh, I have a picture of John Brashears and Sabra Ann Glover Boshear’s gravemarkers I sent for in Collin City, Texas. This is the only part of my trees I can’t figure out and have spent the most time on! Your eamil addres does not work! Notify Administrator about this message?
