Hello , I am looking for anyone who may information on my Grandmother's brother Grover Cleveland Seale. He was born in Madison County Texas 4/26/1883. Many years ago he came to visit his siblings in Bryan Texas and he borrowed my grand mother's picture of their mother and grand mother. He was going to have reprints made of it for all the different families. This never happened and Uncle Grover never visited again. It is a painting made in about 1870 of grand ma Seale and her mother. Her mother was full blooded Indian. The painting was made in Mississippi . My mother told me before she passed away that the Indian scared her as a child as it hung in her grandpa William Joseph Seale's entry way of their home when my mother was a child in Madisonville,Tx. I am not laying claim to the portrait, I would just like a copy as I have no pictures of her. There is no proof of her burial, there is only census showing her as Janey or Jausey or Jamily, some believe her last name may be Holmes. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Deb Biggs Conroe,Tex.
