You are absolutely right. There's also a good history of the Canadian Pacific Railroad by a Pierre Breton (?sp.) that talks about Gen. Rosser also. There's a small town in one of the provinces named Rosser. He was also kicked off of this job because he became involved in land speculation. He wasn't the only one, but it probably was the way he made some of his money after the war. I am also looking into Minneapolis, Minnesota, his home base working for both the Americans and the Canadians after the war.
